Every day we celebrate the richness of the Moroccan cuisine: From Lamb tagines with prunes & almonds, Couscous with colorful vegetables, Chicken Tajines with preservedlemon , Authentic salads, barbecues, fish dishes, seasonal meals are only few to mention.

At 3pm your guide will join you at Start the house where he/she introduce you the flow of the tour. Walk to The Koutubia Mosque where the history of Marrakech starts about thousand year ago. It was here where the " El Mouravids " dynasty founders of the red city settled and built their capital to administrate the whole Kingdom of North Africa after rempoving the capital from Fez to Marrakech. While visiting the mosque from inside is not possible sightseeing around is a must to admire the architecture. In the empty space facing the mosque a palace " Stone Palace : Ksar El Hjar " have been built in parallel where the royal family lived up to the 12 century when the Berber family El Mouhads took over and demolish everything to be replaced with what you can see now..

The tour continue by foot to the impressive Bab Agnaou gate. This 12 century " El Mouhad "  gate gave access to the Kasbah area  imperial town for many dynasties of Morocco : Look up the gate for the storks nesting on the top! Not far stop for an informative story of the Saadian family burried in the Saadian Tombs. this strong Nomad warriors managed to build an empire which stretched from Andalucia to Timbukto and from the Atlantic coast to Libya. Keep strolling inside the Kasbah visiting its fruit & vegetable market, admire the beauty of its alleys and homes, animated streets where spices and herbs are displayed on the way to Mellah square where both muslims & Jews socialize together for centuries. Homes with verandas still witness this period of late 15th century when the Moors: Jews & Muslims were pushed out of Spain and found refuge in Morocco..

The tour includes a visit to the beautiful Bahia Palace founded in the mid 19th century by the Vizir of The King and where hundreds of the best artisans of the country were invited to work continuously for bout 16 years to finish such jewel of Marrakech: visit purely authentic riads with stunning courtyards shaded with fruit trees, wives rooms including the favourite "Lalla Bahia" room, squares of the palace, lush gardens, pavillions, majestic reception rooms with ceiling covered in full with painted cedar wood, floors covered with zellij tiles, stucco & plaster around arches, windows and doors.

In today's excursion we will visit a Berber home for Tea & Lunch. Visit different sections of this mountain home, know how the locals build and deal with the nature both in rainy winters and hot summers. Socialize with the locals and take a relaxed walk through the neighbouring traditional terraces farming.

Meet at 9 am where we will pick you from your hotel. Depending on the size of the group we provide 4WD or minivans from 6 seats for up to 6 guests. For larger parties we have a Sprinter 14 seats where we only take maximum 10 onboard to allow enough space and comfort for our guests. All our vehicles are with AC and with luxury comfort.

Our local guides to this trip are traditionally locals who knows perfectly the area. We will take to best panoramic view where photo and view stops are in each day programme. If the tour coincide with a Berber weekly market either on Monday, Tuesday or Saturday we will include a proper visit to these fascinating local markets where locals come once a week to trade selling what they have or buying what they need from fruits, vegetables, spices, dry fruits and to any basic needs they must have for daily life.

The tour includes a visit to a Berber local family where lunch and tea are included. You will learn about how the typican Moroccan Mint Tea is made and served as well as the customs behind it. Visit the mud home and enjoy the scenery around. A gentle walk through the village and in the traditional farming is on our programme. Depending on the season you will see locals harvesting, plowing, irrigating and living their daily life dealing with what both the skies and the land were generous offering them.

After lunch, relax and get ready as the journey continues through the Atlas Mountains. The contrast and colors of the rock formations vary from yellowish, reddish, green or ever dark depending on the minerals contained. Take more panoramic stops along the way back to Marrakech.

Every day at 3pm we gather together at The Mellah Square known also as "Place des Ferblantiers" where an introduction of the different quarters surrounding is given to you by our Expert Tour Guide. Thanks to its strategic location this vibrant square now is in the junction for 3 mean quarters of Marrakech: The Kasbah and royal section for centuries, The Mellah and former Jewish quarter, Riad Zitoun which connects from here to world known Jamaa Lafna Square.

After a smooth introduction of the flow of the tour we will head to legendary 19th century Bahia Palace. With tickets bought in advance we enter straight away and start our visit. The palace was bought by Ba Moussa trustful Vizir of the King around 1860s where he both worked as an office, for receptions and as a residential. First stop is by the riad this stunning courtyard with beautiful fountain, symetrical fruit trees garden, arches richly decorated with plaster and stucco. A riad in Morocco is a home which has four elements:

1- Be in a Medina ancient town
2- Has a courtyard in the middle with doors, windows facing
3- Garden with fruit trees
4- Fountain to take water and ornamental

The journey through this mystical Palace continue to visit reception rooms where political meetings were held, other riads and squares, gardens and different pavillions.  We have chosen the right time for you to admire the tranquil feel of the most visit historical site in Marrakech.

Not far is The Badii Palace founded by the Saadian royal family in the 16th century to celebrate winning the " The Battle Of The Three Kings " where the Saadian defeated both Spanish and Portuguese penetrating in north of Morocco.
